The 2021 Bishop’s Appeal campaign kicked off a few weeks ago and we hope you will consider lending your financial and prayerful support.

The Bishop’s Appeal is an opportunity for each and every Catholic household to help further the mission of the Church. It is a chance for all parishes and missions of our diocese to join together in support of the vital ministries, such as Pastoral Ministries and Services, Religious Education and Formation, Clergy Formation and Support, and Support for Catholic Schools and Parishes in Need.

The Bishop’s Appeal also allows us to look beyond our parish to help address the needs of our sisters and brothers throughout the diocese. No one parish can successfully address the needs as the Diocese can. If you have donated the Bishop’s Appeal in the past, in the next week you’ll be receiving a letter with a pledge card and envelope from the Bishop with more details about this year’s program. Please take a moment to view Bishop Michael Barber’s video message below.

There are several other convenient ways to give to this year’s Bishop’s Appeal. You may donate online by clicking here or use the envelope enclosed in the next issue of the Catholic Voice. Finally, you may send a check to the Parish Office, donate online via Realm, or through the parish website (if sending in a check, please write the check to Diocese of Oakland, and on the memo line, write Bishop’s Appeal-St. Joan of Arc).

In whatever manner you choose to give, please indicate, “St. Joan of Arc” so we can reach our parish goal. Thank you for your consideration, generosity, and sacrificial support.
